Attaching your walking poles to your backpack

When doing a lengthy walk or hike, the correct use of walking poles can greatly improve the quality of your walk as well as save energy.  Using walking poles with a heavy backpack can help distribute the weight and as such the work is done by your whole body, not just your legs.

They can also contribute to adding a couple of extra kilometres a day during the same time frame.

Balance is also maintained over rocky terrain you would normally struggle over.

Walking poles are usually long lightweight poles designed to help hikers and are usually made of extensions that either fold or extend.
